Experts' experience with the wii (1st real intro to lab)

Our Dec. 21 game session was the first session the experts had an opportunity to use the Wii in the lab. Before that day, only 4 experts had played the Wii before (3 at store, 1 at friends house). Following a discussion about the Wii, the experts were able to offer some great insights. The majority of the group (about 6 members) said they wanted to buy the Wii after playing it and several of them were hoping for it during the holidays. Interestingly, only 2 said that they would not buy the Wii, but one of those two really didn't get into playing the game unitl the end of the day, and I know she probably would have a different answer had I asked the question toward the end of the session.

Here were some of the groups likes, dislikes and ideas for improvement:
Wii Likes: Workout, realistic-movements, able to move around, easy to use and understand, controllers are wireless do not hurt hands, wireless, and real, relaxed-movements, easy menu selections and very few buttons, Zelda graphics,

Wii Dislikes: extra cord on the controller while playing boxing game, controllers are to fragile, to sensitive sometimes, characters are moved into place for you (like baseball they run the home run for you)

Improvements: some sort of sensor for the feet, being able to move your own characters

Games group would like to play on the Wii: Call of Duty Three, Prince of Persia, Halo, racing game, flight game, Wario, Volleyball, Football.
