Dance Factory vs DDR

Friday's session (10/20) was once again another packed day, but revealed some interesting things. The experts began the session playing two different dancing games - Dance Factory (our newest game) and DDR. I wanted them to play both and compare and contrast later on. DDR previously was their favorite dancing game, beating out In the Groove, but on Friday, Dance Factory definitely took the number one spot.

The biggest reason for this -- you can load your own music -- whatever you want. The experts immediately loved this and I allowed them to download some music from iTunes and from my playlists. All they had to do was save those to cd and upload them to the game - which would then create dance moves for each of their songs. They loved that you could have a much better selection of music this way and be able to dance to their favorite songs. Conversely, with DDR, you're limited to the songs on the game's play list.

They all ended up playing that for a good hour in the morning and during lunch with the game developers.
