Video Game Segment assignment

Thursday Assignment (half day)
We asked the consultants to prepare a video game segment. Specifically, we reviewed what they would want to hear reviewers say... what was good and bad with specifics... move from the general statement to an overview, then specifics, then end with a general statement. We randomly put them in pairs, and then let them pick a game blind. I told them they had to:
1. start by introducing themselves
2. give an outline to the teacher before they went into the closet to tape.

One misconception a team had was that they had to be positive... so they gave the game a fairly good review though they hated it. I told them today on their new assignment that they could be honest... they just had to back up their criticisms.

One good thing is that it is very easy for us to watch the tapes... t hey are very short and to the point.
