Video closet problems

So far with the video closet... these issues need to be resolved:
- some of the shy kids are very hard to hear. Even using a lav mike didn't help much. I think a directional would be better if we could find a way to 'install' it that it wasn't intimidating.
- I think the shy kids would be less intimidated if we keep a small camera, and set up more of a casual environment. It may just take them getting used to it... we need to realize the first session or two should be some 'practice' questions.
- there have been some remote control issues, where kids turn the camera on as they leave and off as they talk. We're going to review with them that the red light should be on when they are talking. I hadn't anticipated the level of instruction they need up front.
- we may need more light. I'd like to find a way to put more light on their face in a not-too-obvious way.
