Number counts and Stations

We had a few kids flake on us today, and one show up unexpectedly. Our count was 7: 4 girls and 3 boys. They are well distributed among age (2 entering 6th, 3 entering 7th and 2 entering 7th.) Though we anticipated 10, this count seemed good... there always seemed a "place" for each kid... if we had 10, *all* stations would have to be in use all the time, with some as 2 player... this doesn't allow for the wandering as one kid finishes a game and goes looking. Regardless of final count, it seems we need 2-3 extra 'stations' where kids can roam to... in today's case (with 7 kids, but also with adults floating in...) we seemed to have the perfect balance.

"Playing" stations:
- Macintosh with Internet Games (see previous post by CC)

- TV with Atari Controller (Ms. Pacman, Pole Position, Galaga, Mappy, Xevious)
- Nintendo DS - Personal (Catch, Touch Yoshi
- Nintendo Game Box (could be two player - Donkey Conga or one player- paper Mario)
- Play Station 2 with DDR - two mats
- Play Station 2 with Madden Football, Katamari Damacy (both can be 1 or 2 player)
- PC Gaming with Barbie Horse Adventure, Pirates

We also will have the PSP out with HotShots Golf and MLB Baseball
