Informative Evaluations

Tuesday at the conclusion of Think Tank Eddie and I discussed game evaluations with the kids. Our expectation is that they evaluate 2 new games each day. That still leaves them plenty of time to play their "old favorites". We also discussed how long you need to play a game in order to do an informative evaluation. The kids shared thier views and it was determined by the group that it depends on the game. Some very easy games may only require 5 minutes of play time. More involved games require much more time - maybe an hour - maybe more. That is hard to do if you don't like the game. However we reminded them that in order to help the game developers they need to thoroughly evaluate even the games they don't like.
