This is the online diary for our three week Games Lab Think Tank... It is a private blog... which means we can use names of kids in it.

Friends

These kids did not know each other at the beginning of the Think Tank, with the exception of Clare and Evan (siblings). Over the past 2 weeks some of them have become great buddies.
Last Thursday Hanah and Alicia actually said they were best friends. The one who arrives first (usually Alicia) excitedly awaits the arrival of the other. They greet each other with big hugs.
Evan and David have paired up, but being boys, do not display their friendship in the same way. They simply choose to play games, do projects, and hang-out together the entire time.
Clare is kind of quiet and to herself, but will interact if necessary. For example, in the group game designing acivity, she readily gave input and help. I don't see anything abnormal or troubling about her behavior - she is just more of an introvert.
Chasen is simply friends with everyone. Of course, teachers such as myself never choose favorites, but if I did he would be it. He is kind to both adults and his peers. He willingly participates in whatever is asked of him. He is smart and always does his best on the projects assigned. He plays with anyone who wants to play with him and is considerate and polite. When a new boy, Patrick, showed up for a couple hours, Chasen quickly accepted him and invited him to play Donkey Konga.
