Coming Early

Beginning in the 2nd week of Think Tank, kids started asking to come in early. By the third week all 7 of them came early on a semi-regular basis. They began arriving about 1:15 pm. I allowed them to play games freely until 2:00, our official start time. It worked fine with this group, but this is really an exceptional group of kids. They are cooperative, well behaved, courteous, and intelligent. Thus, they can handle a less structured environment. They enjoyed coming early for 2 reasons. First, they enjoy free-play time. Second, most of their parents work here and bring them at 1:00 anyway. Hanging out in the game lab is much more fun than hanging out in their parents' offices.
