Clare on Yoshi Touch & Go and Alicia, Hanah on Monkey Maze

Clare:

Yoshi is her favorite game. She likes that she uses the stylus rather than the game controller buttons. She add that she likes the variety the game offers. She did not read instructions on how to play when first introduced to the game because she couldn't find them. She said would have read them had she known where they were. She now knows and took the time to show me the tutorial. Clare has figured out much of the game by just game play. She takes time to test things just to see what happens.

Alicia, and Hanah on Monkey Maze:

The females took a more cautious approach than the male participants. Hanah read through instructions before starting out the game. Alicia jumped right into it. Hanah was able to advance the game quickly after reading instructions. Hanah did express out loud when she advanced levels. Alicia was a bit stuck and did take some time to rethink game play. After having to restart the game at our request she got through the levels rather quickly (apple was stuck behind tree). Neither of them were able to complete all mazes. Both said they enjoyed the game play and laughed at the monkey. From my observation they both felt challenged, but enjoyed the game. They did mention wanting hints. Neither of them were as interested in the coins as the males were. Maybe there should be a counter somewhere or a reminder to pick up coins you will need them later statement.
